Run #4

Today we all ran again. We ran for 90 seconds and walked for 2 minutes. It wasn't too bad... well, at least until it started raining, which felt like freezing rain, (which, since it snowed today wasn't so unlikely!!) and the wind started blowing... then it was pretty bad. But, we made it. Soaked and frozen, but we made it. :)

Run #3

We ran after Mike got home from work today. It was his first day back after two sick days... and yesterday I felt awful! Luckily today it was sunny and not rainy, so running wasn't too bad. Jaela stayed home, since she had just gotten home from school. It was a pretty easy run, and mostly just wore the dog out :)

Run #2

We, with the dog, set out for run #2. All morning it was great weather, but by the time we ran it was pouring rain. We were determined to go, though (we promised Jaime after all...) So, we ran. In the rain. We got soaking wet. But it felt great!

Run #1

Mike and Jaela and I, with Jessie, set of for run #1. We ran 60 seconds and walked 90 seconds for 20 minutes. It wasn't too bad. It was a little chilly, and I thought gloves would be nice, but we all did it. (legs were a little jell-oie after, but it's all good) Way to go. We are runners.

couch to 5k

Jaime called me the other day and said, "Now, don't think I'm crazy, but there is something I want to do..." She told me how Daniel keeps saying they should run a marathon together- so she wanted to train for one. I laughed and told her running was something I NEVER wanted to do, but just a few weeks before my friend had posted on FB that she was running a half marathon and wanted someone to go with. For the first time in my life I wanted to run. I told Jaime I would train with her! So, long story short, we found the Couch to 5K on Pinterest, and we promised each other we would do it. She called a few days later to say there was a 5K in Portland right after she gets home. Done deal. Mike and Jaela got on board to. So, here we are going to R-U-N-O-F-T...!
